The 404 error — aka File Not Found — is one of the common errors you find on the Internet. It can be frustrating, but broken links are common and inevitable.  Anytime a visitor can’t find what they are looking for when they search a website they get the 404 page. I believe that every great website deserves a custom 404 page.


As designers, when we create a web site, normally we’d also include a 404 page. Depending on the site design, overall focus, and demographics, you’ll want to create a suitable page that will cut straight to the chase and also convey a bit of creativity at the same time.
